Fortune 500 Commercial Products Manufacturer
Problem: Customer needed to develop, or acquire, a large-scale, multi-cell system for accelerated life testing of a new product. Had not gone outside to a third party supplier for many years as well as built internal capability for developing and maintaining similar solutions at a corporate level.

Solution: Development of a Reliability Test System with flexible test configuration & scheduling, analysis of causes of failure, ability to reapply test system to performance testing and support for simultaneous access to system by multiple users.

Results: All customer objectives were met and expectations were exceeded.

Problem: The customer needed to know how to test a complex fuel pump that involves fine measurements of fuel flow, command and monitoring of an electronic control unit, automated testing, and production line integration. "And we need it this month."

Solution: CyberMetrix' Test Systems team provided a supervisory test execution system that integrated sub-systems that the customer already had in place.

Results: Time and cost compression allowed client to leverage previous investment, retain tools they were knowledgeable in, and reduce time and costs associated with manual effort and data transcription errors. Objectives were met and expectations exceeded.

$100 Million Sales Electronics Products Manufacturer
Problem: No new products had been developed for 18 months.

Solution: Work with the functional leads, as a group, to identify the problems and develop a solution.

Results: Developed a successful New Product Development process that allowed the client to develop and deliver 5 new products in the last six months.

Problem: The customer needed to reduce the risk of product liability claims due to the use of a digital data link for on-vehicle controls.

Solution: Controller Area Network EMI monitoring test instrument integrating CyberMetrix systems and software solution with third party optical isolation hardware.

Results: All customer objectives were met and expectations exceeded.

Problem: The customer needed to optimize the effectiveness and utilization of its expensive test cells and system resources by allowing an engineer at any R&D center to define and schedule a test to be run at any test facility.

Solution: Intranet based test definition, planning, and scheduling tool that supports test standardization, requires complete test resource requirements definition and test planning.

Results: The solution allows planning personnel to optimize cost and schedule. Customer objectives were met and expectations exceeded.

Customer statement: "(CyberMetrix) worked well with our internal IT support staff for a smooth integration into our systems."

Problem: The customer needed new product development support to acquire timely and accurate emissions performance information for product development and validation.

Solution: Integrate engine test cells and facility's emissions measurement capability in a manner that supports automated transient and steady state emissions development testing.

Results: Customer increased emissions test throughput by 850%. All customer objectives were met and expectations exceeded.

Customer statement: "CyberMetrix was able to get us off the ground. We had all the right pieces, just needed someone to put them together in the right way."

Problem: There was an immediate need to determine the cause of engine field failures. The customer’s internal staff had six month’s worth of analysis behind them, but had been unable to gather data that would pinpoint the problem. Warranty cost predictions were skyrocketing.

Solution: CyberMetrix picked up the analysis where the customer left off and then quickly developed a prototype data acquisition tool that was able to gather data within 6 weeks.

Results: The customer immediately determined the cause of the problem once the field data was obtained. The customer then requested CyberMetrix to design and build 24 monitoring modules to be integrated into its engineering test cells, which CyberMetrix also accomplished in record time. All customer objectives were met and expectations were exceeded.

Customer statement: "We were under unbelievable pressure to get this problem solved.  CyberMetrix was able to quickly pick up the analysis and develop a monitoring tool that got us the information we needed find the cause."

Problem: Unit testing of software for Electronic Engine Control Modules was done in different ways by different groups, and various tools were being used, with mixed results.

Solution: Working closely with customer personnel in software development groups, the tools developers, and related process control functions, CyberMetrix established a sub-function list of the unit test process, assisted with development of useable software tools, maintained these tools, wrote a general test procedure for unit test (proprietary to this customer), and completed unit testing on a great deal of ECM software.

Results: The software process has been standardized for all development groups, and the tools and procedure are kept up-to-date in a timely manner so that they are efficiently useable. The processes continue to improve by working closely with customer personnel.

Problem: Company merger required merger of both company’s internet and intranet sites into one new site, and creation of new improved functionality

Solution: Working as part of a team with a supplier of IT services to one of the merged companies, we provided additional manpower to bring about the change in functionality of the new web sites.

Results: CyberMetrix resources were able to quickly team up with the merged company’s IT people and the team from the their outside vendor to perform seamless support and meet the new project requirements.
