Project Manager - Test System
Solutions
Overview:
Test facility and test cell containerized cell design, development and
implementation with strategic contractors. Test cell configuration,
commissioning and support. Test process improvement. Integration of
off-the-shelf instruments. Test solutions assessments and improvement
recommendations. Documentation and training. Project and team leadership for
implementing test cell and containerized cell solutions
Duties:
· Responsible for development, execution, and/or interpretation of test cell and test facility requirements and compliance to standards.
· Understanding of engine and component testing procedures.
· Continuous improvement.
· Experience with mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems in a test cell.
· Interfaces with customers, suppliers, and product engineers to train, troubleshoot or capture new needs.
· Supports and implements test system software on Linux, QNX and Windows operating systems.
· Works on multiple projects with analysis, design, manufacturing, and testing input
· Presents data in a clear and concise manner via reports and/or oral presentations
· Learns to draw accurate conclusions and provide solutions based on analyses and experimental results
· Supports the total quality and environmental systems
· Maintains quality service and accuracy by adhering to standards
Required Job Skills and Abilities:
· Test facility and containerized test cell design experience
· Data acquisition and signal / data processing
· Computer skills (Linux, QNX, Windows, AutoCad, Excel, Word)
· Ability to learn industry standard hardware and software
· Strong communication (written and oral) skills
· Ability to work in a multi-functional, self-directed team
· Solid understanding and interest in engineering
· Person must be agile to assist with test setups
· Willingness to travel globally.
Education / Experience:
· Minimum BS Degree in Engineering or equivalent
· Minimum ten (10) years experience in engine and/or component test related field
